What to bring to your first visit?
We work hard to ensure that your child receives prompt medical care in a comfortable, child-friendly office setting. To help expedite the first appointment, we ask that you please bring your child's immunization records and be prepared to complete paperwork regarding your family medical history, your child's medical history, and medical aid or insurance information.
Dr Bisiwe will typically see your newborn 2-3 days after leaving the hospital.
The hospitalist or neonatologist caring for your newborn in the hospital will give you exact instructions on when to follow up after discharge.
At this first newborn visit, Dr Bisiwe will give your baby a wellness exam while looking for signs of jaundice; feeding problems; and weight loss. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions or address any concerns with the doctor. We look forward to meeting your new baby!
What to Expect
On the day of your child's first visit to our office, we recommend arriving a few minutes early.
